The illustration

We use your child's photo to create a watercolor illustration of them — their face, their hair, their spark — placed into every page of the story. They aren't reading about a hero. They are the hero.

The character system

Each book is built around one of eight character traits, chosen for your child's exact age and stage. As the series grows, the same traits return with deeper meaning — Courage at 4 looks different than Courage at 8.

You upload a photo of your child at checkout. We create a watercolor illustration that looks like them and place them as the hero on every page.

Designed for children aged 3–8, though the stories resonate with younger and older children too.

7-10 business days after your photo is approved. You'll receive a tracking number when it ships.

Best photos are well-lit, forward-facing, and recent.

Yes — at checkout you can write your own message up to 120 characters, or we use our warm default.

Absolutely. Enter the recipient's address at checkout. No pricing is included in the package.

If you're not happy for any reason, email hello@storieswithme.com and we'll make it right.

Your child's photo is used only to create their illustration. It is never shared, sold, or used to train AI models. Once your order is fulfilled and you've approved the illustration, your photo is permanently deleted from our systems — typically within 30 days of delivery.

The illustration itself is stored as part of your order record so we can reprint if needed, but your original photo is not retained beyond fulfillment. If you'd like it deleted sooner, email us at hello@storieswithme.com and we'll handle it within 48 hours.
