Terms of Sale

Effective date: July 4, 2026

These Terms of Sale govern your purchase of products from storieswithme.com. They are in addition to the Website Terms of Use.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18. You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child for whom the book is made or — if you are buying a gift — have the express permission of the child's parent or legal guardian to provide the child's photo and information and to grant the permissions in Section 3.

2. How personalization works

You provide your child's first name and other personalization details, and upload a photo. We use the photo to create an illustrated likeness (see Your child's photo and likeness below), place it into the story, and print the book. We may ask you to approve the uploaded photo or the finished illustration before printing.

3. Your child's photo and likeness (license and representations)

When you upload a photo to order a book, you grant Stories With Me a limited, revocable, royalty-free license to use that photo and the child's likeness solely to create and print the book you order, and to retain the resulting illustration in our records so we can reprint it. We will not use the photo or likeness to train or develop any AI model, sell or license it, or use it for advertising, except with your separate, explicit consent. You represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian — or that you have the express permission of the child's parent or legal guardian to provide the photo and to grant this license and right-of-publicity permission on their behalf — that you have the right to upload the photo, and that doing so violates no one's rights. You may withdraw the license and request deletion at any time at hello@storieswithme.com; we will stop using the photo going forward, except where the book has already been produced or shipped. You agree to indemnify us for any breach of these representations.

4. Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown at checkout in U.S. dollars and may change over time; the price at the time you order applies. Payment is processed by our payment provider. Placing an order is an offer to buy; your order is accepted when we send an order confirmation or begin production. We may decline or cancel an order (for example, for suspected fraud, an inappropriate or unusable photo, or pricing errors) and will refund any payment for a cancelled order.

5. Photo and proof approval

Because each book is personalized, we may require you to approve the uploaded photo and/or a proof of the illustration before printing. Production timelines run from the time of any approval we request.

6. Production and shipping

Books are printed to order by our print-and-fulfillment provider. Estimated production and delivery times are provided at checkout or by email and are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier. Shipping and handling charges are shown before you complete your order.

7. Returns and refunds (personalized products)

Because our books are custom-made with your child's name and likeness, they cannot be returned or refunded once production has begun, except where the product is defective or differs materially from what you approved. If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or materially different from what you approved, contact us at hello@storieswithme.com within 30 days of delivery with photos, and we will reprint or refund it. This does not affect any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law. Our quality guarantee: independent of the above, if you're not happy with your book for any reason, contact us at hello@storieswithme.com and we'll work with you to make it right.

8. Cancellations and changes

You may request a change or cancellation before you approve your proof or before production begins, whichever is earlier, by emailing hello@storieswithme.com. After that point, changes may not be possible.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The disclaimers and limitation of liability in the Website Terms of Use apply to your purchase. Illustrations are an artistic approximation, not a photographic reproduction.
